Nomination Form

"In recognition of those whose exceptional efforts have encouraged and sustained effective urban forestry practices."

Nomination form should be filled out by any individual or group and submitted by March 15 to the City Clerk's office, located at Kirkwood City Hall. This form is also available in hard copy at City Hall, 139 South Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122.

The Advocate Award is presented at the City Council meeting on the first Thursday in April with the reading of the Arbor Day Proclamation. The recipient's name will be engraved on the plaque that hangs in the lobby of Kirkwood City Hall.

Guidelines for consideration may include, but are not limited to:

  1. The nominee has a sustained interest in tree stewardship.
  2. The nominee is a strong advocate for better planning and education concerning our urban forest.
  3. The nominee serves as a volunteer in the community such as Kirkwood Urban Forestry Commission (activities include Arbor Day, tree inventories, Jr. TreeKeeper Program, Greentree Festival, etc.) or Forest ReLeaf.
